Trident Energy has announced its successful bid in securing Stage 2 WES funding for development of its PowerPod PTO at ICOE2016 in Edinburgh today. Energy Technology Centre is pleased to announce that Alistair Mackinnon has joined the company as Head of Standards, Conformity and Compliance. Alistair joins Energy Technology Centre with over 30 years’ experience in wind energy, most recently working for DNV GL where he was Head of Group for Renewables Certification in the UK.
Alistair is Chairman and member of several international, national and industry committees of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), British Standards Institution (BSI) and RenewableUK, developing technical standards and certification schemes for the wind industry. In his new role as Head of Standards, Conformity and Compliance at Energy Technology Centre, Alistair will be developing ETC’s service offering to assist industry leading companies through the evolving test and certification landscape.
